Due to the threat of the HLB virus, citrus tree production requires special growing equipment and certification. 

Loquats are a great fruit for backyard growers in warm climates (USDA zones 8-10).

This is a rare fruit in the United States but is common in China. I'm excited to grow these, but progress on the yangmei orchard has been slow.

California is a great place--in part because you can grow avocados!

Pig & Fig Orchards specializes in soft seeded varieties with excellent taste, although there are a few hardy varieties as well for colder climates.

Dragon fruit are not ideally suited to grow in California's Central Valley so I'll be growing these under a shade structure.

I'm gathering a wide selection of olive trees. Olive trees do not grow fast, so this is a long-term effort.
